Bormio's wonderful position in one of the biggest alpine national parks can offer a vast possibility of trekking, climbing and excursions. There are beautiful areas for horse riding, mountain biking, fishing, summer skiing, golf, tennis and many other sports.
Bormio is also famous for it's natural thermal water and has 3 great spa centres.
Stelvio national park is great for wild life as well where you will see a number of wild animals in their own natural habitat.
You can't miss out on the stunning train journey from Tirano to S. Moritz which crosses glaciers and lakes, through the alps and which is actually the highest train track in Europe. It is so special with it's steep gradient, going up to 2.253 metres in altitude that in July 2008 it was declared a world heritage to man kind.
